Our location is about five miles east of Oakdale, LA, on Hwy 10 (45 miles south of Alexandria, LA).  Our primary activity is squirrel dog training.  We take 4 dogs per month at 7 months old and try to guide them along the path to becoming good solid tree dogs.  Each dog we work has his or her own 4’ X 10’ kennel with their own water and feed.  We work the dogs individually four days per week, weather permitting.

There are two training pens.  One is ¼ acre with a large squirrel pen inside it.  The other is 4 acres of large mixed pine and hardwood timber, with both high dry areas and low wet areas.  In this pen there are seven squirrel feeders placed so that the squirrel has to go to the ground to get to the feeder.  We also have five nest boxes and maintain a good population of squirrels year round.  There is approximately 900 acres of private woods directly behind this large pen that we use as the dogs advance.

UMCA Squirrel Champion Tree Stylin Rambo

2X World Squirrel Champion & NKC Super Grand Squirrel Champion

                                                                                                                                                            I bought Rambo from John Meares of Alabama in early November of 2008. I have hunted him hard since and feel extremely fortunate to have him.

RAMBO is as accurate as I've seen. He seems to be a medium hunter but will tree game where he finds it.  The tougher the day the further he ranges. He has a very loud mouth and trees extremely hard day or night. Rambo is just under 50lbs of Busher/Kemmer with a touch of Streak.
